About

Hi, I’m Rachel.

I’m a Professional Member of the Australian Association of Family Therapists with 17+ years experience as a Parent Coach. I’m also a mum of two boys, a board game enthusiast and love the outdoors. I work with mums and dads who desperately want their kids to listen without bribes, yelling, or losing it.

I show you simple, evidence based, practical strategies to turn chaos into cooperation in a way that works for you. With the right tools, insights and support, you can bring lasting change (instead of like you’re putting out the same fires again and again).

Personally

When I'm not supporting parents, I can be found on our off-grid bush block playing board games or adventuring on the Far South Coast, NSW.

I live in the beautiful Bega Valley with my partner, our boys (13yo and 18yo), two Kelpie dogs + chooks. I get my greatest parenting insights from the inevitable ebb and flow of my own family life and from the stories other parents share with me.

If you want to know more, read on:

  • I love the outdoors - hiking, skiing and mountain biking. We like to go camping as a family and somehow I've been persuaded to spend winter weekends in a tent in the Snowy Mountains.

  • I've always loved adventures and spent 8 years living on a wooden yacht in the South Pacific which was home for my oldest boy until he was 3.5 years old.

  • Originally from England, I went travelling to New Zealand with my partner in 2000. We ended up staying a while before sailing to Australia in 2005.

  • My kids have had an eclectic schooling journey including a Steiner Kindergarten, a Montesori Primary school, Home-Education and local public schools.

  • When my kids were young I almost never had a neat and tidy house & regularly forgot to brush their hair. Now they are older, my home runs more smoothly and my kids do their own hair ;)
